YOUTH MINISTER
CHRIS TEW WITH HIS WIFE TIFFANY AND CAT "BOO BOO"
After much prayer, on January 1, 2024, Chris Tew began his role as Youth Minister at St. Mary’s Grove. He trusts the Lord and believes God will guide his steps as he leads our Young People.
Chris was born in Garner and graduated from Garner Senior High in 1990. He has always enjoyed helping others and has spent many years as a fireman and in management. Chris was saved and baptized at the age of 13, and after surrendering all of his life to Jesus, he knew he wanted to serve. Chris’ goal is to be a model of Christ, teach our young people the love of Jesus, and how to serve in our church and community. He wants to teach our young people how to show respect to God, leaders, parents, and other children. Chris aims to develop and encourage future leaders to the highest level.
Chris has one grown son, and he married his best friend, Tiffany, in 2014. He and Tiffany have a cat named Boo Boo that thinks he is their child! They love to travel, camp, and enjoy the outdoors. He is an avid outdoorsman, loves to hunt and fish, and is a huge golfer.
Chris’ favorite Bible verse and motto is Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
