​​Wesley Taylor was born in New Bern, NC.  He graduated from West Craven High School in 1996.  Wesley received his license to preach in August 2002 and was ordained as a Free Will Baptist Minister in February 2006.  He continued his education and received a Masters degree in Christian Education from the Carolina Bible Institute and Seminary.  Part of Wesley's ministry has been volunteering at Carolina East Hospital as a Chaplin.

Wesley and Courtney were married in September 1999.  They do not have children, but consider the children of the church as part of their family.  Together, they enjoy the outdoors - hiking, fishing, and gardening.

​Wesley is an avid cyclist and enjoys participating in charity bicycle rides for MS, cancer research, and Wounded Warriors events.  Wesley is also a bee keeper.  He enjoys visiting schools to share the important role of honey bees in our ecosystem.
